By Tom Lang The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational will be an event filled with firsts: • First time for an official team event on the LPGA Tour • First time playing a Tour event in more than one year for LPGA Tour star Suzann Pettersen, who is coming off maternity leave to be in Midland • First time for 8-time LPGA Tour winner Brooke Henderson to play a team golf event Those and many more first-time opportunities for golf fans await during the July 15-20 Tour event at Midland Country Club, one of Michigan’s finest facilities. The 72-team format will play four rounds – Wednesday through Saturday’s final – switching daily between best ball and alternate shot. Both players on the winning team will earn the same privileges of a two-year exemption on the LPGA Tour Priority List, plus one-year entrance into three majors.
