Jutanugarn suggested there are unique advantages presented by teaming up with her sister, and potentially less stress after a bad shot. “ I think me and my sister are going to be good for each other, you know, because we know our game for so long and we know it really well. (In) alternate shot, I 100 percent go with my sister because, you know, sometimes when I miss the shot, I won’t feel bad for her if we play together.” Pettersen is a Dow ambassador and helped make this Midland tournament a reality. It’s an appropriate place for her to return to competitive golf – albeit coming from a unique perspective as a new mom. “My intentional plan was always to return as quickly as I could after giving birth, but there’s a time for everything in life and I’ve just really enjoyed being with little Herman and kind of being at home, just being a regular mom,” she said. “I have to say, to put things in perspective once you have a small one almost running around… it doesn’t even compare to golf. It puts golf in perspective, and it’s been a little bit hard to get back into the normal routine… But I’ll put all the effort I have into preparing for the Dow.” The Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational should be a great opportunity for families to enjoy the great outdoors while watching unique team golf.
