PGA Tour in Detroit: Birdies for Charity Program The Rocket Mortgage Classic Birdies for Charity program is an interactive and unique way for non-profit organizations to raise funds using the excitement of a PGA Tour event. Through the program, all registered non-profit organizations in good standing who apply can collect donations from their charity’s supporters based on the total number of birdies shot by PGA Tour pros during tournament play. Like a more-traditional “walk-a-thon” charities can secure pledges from donors per birdie (example: 10 cents a birdie times 500 birdies would equal a $50 donation). The lower the golf scores, the greater the impact for local non-profits. The program directs 100 percent of proceeds collected to the participating organizations. Additionally, each donor will be asked to submit their guess for the total number of birdies made – with prizes being awarded to those who pick closest to the actual number. Interested participants can   click here   for additional details and registration. More information is available at: www.
