With some long-hitting golfers fresh off their college seasons adding a spark, the Golf Association of Michigan team rolled to a 12.5 – 5.5 win over the Michigan PGA team in the 46th Fuller Cup Matches at Birmingham Country Club.
The GAM has won six of the last 11 competitions, but still trail 35-10-1 in the series. Prior to 2001 the PGA teams dominated the Ryder Cup-style competition.
