PGA Tour Many Michigan golfers have dreams of getting onto the PGA Tour one day. The same goes for some who made the dream happen by landing jobs as staff members of the PGA Tour headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Here is a handful of Michigan natives working on Tour: • Chris Richards (Holt) – Manager, Communications • Kirsten Freisen (Northville) – Manager, Media Sales • Dugan Murphy (Okemos) – Sales Manager, THE PLAYERS Championship • Brian VanAlstine (Saginaw) – Senior Digital Product Manager • Zach Conrad (Novi) – Digital Content Analyst While most positions involve working behind the scenes, Richards is front and center on TV in press conferences at tournaments on the PGA Tour Champions, including its annual stop in Grand Blanc for the Ally Challenge. The 34-year-old Holt native is a Media Official for the PGA Tour, acting as a liaison between the Tour, the players and the media who cover various tournaments. He provides information and access for media to do their jobs covering the Tour.
