Michigan Golf Journal March 2019
Just another winter storm or two to get through and soon we’ll be hitting balls on our favorite, open green grass golf courses. It’s an annual right of passage in the Great Lakes State, and one I’m surely looking forward to after such a whacky Michigan winter we’ve had to endure. This March edition is loaded with ideas for unique opportunities in our game, from the chance to learn how to build golf clubs, to advice for youth hoping to earn a college scholarship … from getting an early-spring head start on an outstanding buddy trip to French Lick Resort in southern Indiana, to the rough and rugged Sage Run Golf Course in the U.P. … plus a look at how the movie industry has interesting ties to golf. A huge congratulations also goes out to the four newest members of the Michigan Golf Hall of Fame – and the Golf Association of Michigan’s celebration of 100 years in 2019. We have much to celebrate in our state – stand proud Michigan – even if it means still standing in a foot of snow. Spring is coming. And as always, thank you for making Michigan Golf Journal part of your golfing journey. Please tell your friends about us.
