The career path of professional golfers doesn’t ƵƐƵĂůůLJ ůĞŶĚ Ă ůŽƚ ŽĨ ĨƌĞĞ ƟŵĞ to have a second job, but >W' ƐƚĂƌ ƌŝƐƟĞ <Ğƌƌ ŵĂĚĞ it happen. For more than a decade now, Kerr has produced several wines under the name ƌŝƐƟĞ <Ğƌƌ tŝŶĞƐ ʹ ƚŚĞ ŽīͲ shoot of her exposure to vineyards in the 1990s playing golf tournaments in and near California’s Napa Valley. Kerr’s vision for a successful wine-making business led to ƚŚĞ ůĂƵŶĐŚ ŽĨ ŚĞƌ ĮƌƐƚ ůĂďĞů ŝŶ ϮϬϬϳ͕ ƵƌǀĂƚƵƌĞ ʹ ĨŽƌ ǁŚŝĐŚ Ăůů ƉƌŽĐĞĞĚƐ ŐŽ ƚŽ ƐƵƉƉŽƌƟŶŐ womenwith breast cancer, like her ownmother, aunt and ŐŽĚŵŽƚŚĞƌ ĞĂĐŚ ĞŶĚƵƌĞĚ ʹ ĂŶĚ a second label called Kerr Cellars, in 2012. She looks at the business ŶŽƚ ƚŚĂƚ ŵƵĐŚ ĚŝīĞƌĞŶƚůLJ ƚŚĂŶ her approach to golf. “If anybody has seen me line ƵƉ Ă ƉƵƩ͕ /͛ŵ ƉƌĞƩLJ ĚĞƚĂŝůĞĚ͕ and I think that suits me well in the wine business,” Kerr said in an online interview. “It’s all about detail, making sure that everything is perfect and being comfortable with the end product. “I kind of make a joke that when you play golf long enough you become a wine lover; you start a wine business just because it keeps you sane.
