Michigan Golf Journal December 2020
Michigan Golf Journal Toptracer Range Toptracer Range delivers the same ball-tracking technology that follows the shots and flight path of the game’s best players on TV screens during PGA and LPGA Tour events. That technology is now available at Miles of Golf in Ypsilanti at its new Toptracer Range. The system tracks every shot hit anywhere on the Miles of Golf range, providing all kinds of information about each shot you hit, making the range experience incredibly informative and more fun. Now all golfers young and old, those good and those not- so-good-but-trying-to-improve – get great feedback during practice sessions in a fun, engaging and tech-driven experience. There are also game features to play alone or with friends, and you can play Virtual (Sim) Golf on some great courses; like Pebble Beach. The cost of using Toptracer Range is built into the cost of the range balls; no additional cost. Miles installed the technology at their Fairfield, Ohio facility in October and it has proven to be a tremendous success. Work is now complete in Ypsilanti and Toptracer Range is available to all range customers. The Golf Range Association of America has ranked the Miles of Golf practice facility as one of the top 100 in the country every year since 1996. It is a state-of-the-art golf practice facility available 365 days a year. The Cluboratory, their club testing and fitting center is also one of the 100 best in the country along with their nationally recognized Golf Shop. The facility has been a fixture in the Ann Arbor golf community since the 1950s and was formerly known as Pat’s Par 3. In 1995, the range and par 3 course were converted into one huge practice facility with over 100 hitting tees featuring newly constructed grass tees, target greens, irrigation system, chipping greens, bunkers, putting greens, and tees that are both heated and sheltered.
