Covid-19 did pause golf, but once leaders began to realize how golf is likely the safest sport/outdoor activity anyone can participate in, fairly soon afterward restrictions were eased, and play began again – and hasn’t even come close to slowing down. When it comes to race relations in America, golf isn’t perfect and still has some work to do making it accessible to everyone, but there’s no denying that virtually all races and cultures are represented on the links on any given day I visit local golf venues. Let’s all participate in ways to keep the game safe and healthy, and become more open to all. Hit ‘em straight.
