There’s a bit of a connection there.” Tanigawa credits regaining his amateur status for a time as helping his outlook in his ‘second pro career.’ “Amateur golf really rekindled just playing for the sake of playing with no strings attached to the results or outcomes,” he said. “It kind of makes you fall in love with the game to just play for the sake of enjoyment, because amateur golf is pretty much just that.
