PGA Tour Rocket Mortgage By now most avid golfers have heard that the PGA Tour heavily adjusted its 2020 tournament schedule and it includes the Rocket Mortgage Classic moving from its original late May date to July 2-5. Because of COVID-19 and the current lack-of-people- movement campaign in Michigan, the plan is the tournament will be played with no fans on site – basically just the pro players, caddies and essential staff to run a professional event for TV. Early fan reactions indicate that most golfers are just fine with that idea – just bring on any golf activity we can to provide entertainment on TV, but more importantly could also bolster the national images of Detroit some small ways. Playing Keep Away: One aspect that is too early to know all details but needs to be considered is social distancing for the people who are allowed on the grounds of host Detroit Golf Club.
