But the reality is, you don’t,” he added with a chuckle. Q With its already world-wide appeal, do you believe golf needed to be added as an Olympic sport? A “One thousand percent. Why not? If tennis is in the Olympics why shouldn’t golf be? The Olympic Games, when you really think about it, have continued to add sports over the years because it helps introduce those sports to the world, on the Olympic stage. To me, golf in the Olympics allows another 50-75 countries to see it amongst the other sports that are contested. I think it’s a perfect fit and I think the Olympics golf competition in Tokyo will be great because they love their golf. That Asian- rich market; I think you’ll see a lot of the big players show up.
