The long and productive season will be capped off in late September with the GAM Golf Days Championship, sponsored by Michigan Golf Journal , at Indianwood Country Club – and in early October with the GAM Tournament of Champions in Ann Arbor. Some new sites are involved on this year’s schedule, including Atlas Valley Golf Club in Grand Blanc (a 100 th GAM Championship qualifier and the Michigan Senior Net Amateur), and Klinger Lake Country Club. Ken Hartmann, senior director of competitions and USGA services for the GAM, said there is always an effort to add new host sites to the schedule. “We are always looking for new places,” he said. “We don’t want to wear out our welcome at the places we go to often, and we want to reach people who might play if a tournament is closer to their home. We also want our members to see what the state has to offer in golf, bring some business to member clubs and give them a chance to showcase what they provide.” More information and tournament registrations can be found at: https://www.GAM. org/?Championships M GJ
