Michigan Golf Journal PGA HOPE Even in a Covid year, this past summer Fox Hills Golf and Banquet Center was able to get a PGA HOPE program up and running at the popular 63-hole facility and dedicated Learning Center in Plymouth Township. PGA HOPE introduces the game of golf to Military Veterans with disabilities through a developmental 6-to-8-week curriculum, taught by PGA Professionals trained in adaptive golf and military cultural competency all across the country. Michigan Golf Hall of Famer and U.S. Army medic Veteran himself, Buddy Whitten, led the initial PGA HOPE Metro Detroit efforts at Fox Hills, with the assistance of Mark Runchey. All programs are funded by PGA REACH and supplemented by the foundations of PGA Sections across PGA HOPE Brings Exactly That – Hope By Tom Lang The game of golf focused toward Military Veterans
