Michigan’s P.J. Maybank was a member of Team USA. The biennial Presidents Cup was held last month at Quail Hollow Golf Club in Charlotte, North Carolina with Team USA winning in a rout over the decimated International team. Just prior to the professionals competing, the Junior Presidents Cup was held at Myers Park Country Club, in Charlotte, with a much closer result. Junior Presidents Cup Was a Close Encounter Clark and Preston Stout, made it to the round of 16 at the 2022 U.S. Junior Amateur. Michigan’s P.J. Maybank was a member of Team USA. On the first day, after the completion of six foursome matches and six four-ball matches, the International team jumped out to a 7.5 to 4.5 point lead. Four players won both of their matches, Jeffrey Guan, Aldrich Potgieter and Yurav Premlall, all from the The Junior Presidents Cup is a two-day, team match-play competition featuring 24 of the world’s top junior boys under the age of 20, 12 from the United States and 12 non-European juniors. The U.S. Team was comprised of golfers from nine different states. Four team members, Jackson Koivun, Eric Lee, Ethan Gao and Aaron Pounds, were Rolex Junior All-Americans.
