Michigan Pros Win PGA National Awards From PGA of America Last month the PGA of America held their annual meeting in their new facilities in Frisco, Texas. Two Michigan golf industry professionals were recognized and won national awards from the PGA. Bernie Friedrich: PGA Golf Executive Of The Year Bernie Friedrich, named the 2023 PGA Golf Executive of Friedrich started as a Golf Professional at Boyne Resorts in 1976 and has been instrumental in helping to make BOYNE one of the leading golf destinations in the country. He oversees all of BOYNE Golf’s 13 courses and semiprivate clubs in Michigan, Maine and Montana, including all staff, course agronomy and marketing nationwide, plus two golf membership groups— the Year, has been with BOYNE Golf Resort for over 45 years and is currently the Senior Vice President of Golf Operations for Boyne Resorts. The honor recognizes outstanding services in an Executive Management position, as well as leadership, vision, courage, moral character and a substantial record of service to the Association and the game.
