Michigan Golf Journal August

August Michigan Golf Journal Is Loaded We are once again happy to be able to bring you the August issue of Michigan Golf Journal. This month we have been able to visit several great courses around the state and we have pieces about Bucks Run, Pohlcat, as well as the newly renovated Saint John’s Resort. All three of these courses are wonderful and validate the great golf available in every corner of the state. Tiger Woods was at Oakland Hills last month to watch his son, Charlie compete in the U.S. Junior Amateur. Charlie didn’t make the cut to enter the match play portion, or threaten his father’s unbreakable record of three consecutive U.S. Junior Amateurs, followed by three consecutive U.S. Amateur Championship wins. We also have other golf travel news to share this month as BOYNE hosted the International Golf Tour Operators and expanded their international presence. Island Resort and Casino in the UP is embarking on a $19 million expansion which includes a new nine hole course at the Sage Run location. The PGA Tour 2023-24 season is rapidly coming to a close and we feature a few storylines from the tour. August is a busy month for golfers in Michigan and I will be looking for you on the Back 9.
