LTU Collegiate Kickoff The Lawrence Tech Collegiate Kickoff, an NAIA tournament, was held at Crystal Mountain Resort and the home team LTU claimed the top spot in the team portion. Lake Superior State finished 13 shots behind LTU for runner-up. LTU’s Liam McEvoy fired a total of six under par for the three rounds to win medalist honors, while his teammate Martin Wing tied for runner-up with Indiana East’s Sam Firebaugh. Al Watrous Invitational Saginaw Valley State hosted the NCAA Division II Al Watrous Invitational at Sawmill Golf Cascade Clash in Jackson, Michigan and they finished one and two. Team A finished five shots better than the B Squad. They finished 8 shots clear of the third-place Albion. Trine finished with four players in the top four spots in the individual portion of the tournament. Jack Besner won with a total of three-under par, followed by Carter Schnipke at two-under and Jack Bilby at one-under. Their teammate, Colin Crumrine finished tied for fourth with Blake Wagner from Albion, Axel Houdaille from Cleary and Charlie Robinson from Lourdes. Trine University sent two teams to the Cascade Clash Club. Wayne State’s B Team bested their A Team by eight shots to win the team portion. Saginaw Valley State captured third ahead of the University of Findlay’s A and B Teams. Michigan Golf Journal
