Grand Valley State head men’s golf coach, Gary Bissell, was selected as one of the Best Young Teachers in America for 2021-22, according to Golf Digest. The list included 177 golf coaches that are under the age of 40.
Bissell was named NCAA Division II Midwest Region Coach of the Year in 2019 after leading GVSU to their first national championship appearance since the 2007-08 season.
