As three Michigan junior golfers make their final preparations to tee it up at Augusta National in the 2019 Drive Chip and Putt National Finals on April 7, parents can begin signing up their children for the 2020 competition.

As of March 5, online registration is open at www.drivechipandputt.com for local qualifying events, which lead to sub-regionals – and then Regionals as the final stage to receive an invitation to Augusta next year.

Drive Chip and Putt is a FREE youth golf development program offered jointly between the USGA, Masters Tournament and the PGA of America. A goal is to get kids involved and start a life-long love for the game in a fun, interactive platform. It’s open to boys and girls, ages 7-15. The top 40 boys and top 40 girls coming out of Regionals will receive an invitation to Augusta next year.

The program is growing and becoming so popular that the sub-regionals were added in recent years, and in 2019, there will be 313 local host sites across the 50 states.
