Under the direction of 25th-year Head Coach Bruce Cunningham, the Eastern Michigan University men’s golf team opens the spring portion of the 2018 campaign at the Earl Yestingsmeier Match Play Challenge in Dade City, Fla., Feb. 12-13. Junior Beau Breault (Hartland, Mich.) led the way for the Eagles with a scoring average of 72.5 in 12 rounds during the fall, including a tie for medalist honors at the Dayton Flyer Invitational, Oct. 16-17. Senior Nic Ross (Dundas, Ontario) and freshman Cougar Collins (Caledon, Ontario) have been consistent scorers for the Green and White, averaging 73.1 and 73.2, respectively.
Also, of note, the squad recently launched its crowdfunding initiative, in hopes of collecting funds that will support its program throughout the year.
