Caterina Don, an assistant women’s golf coach at Eastern Michigan University, made her third start at the Augusta National Women’s Amateur (ANWA) last month.
As a member of the University of Georgia Women’s Golf Team, she competed in each of the first two editions of the ANWA and advanced to the final round in both 2019 and 2021.
Posting two consecutive rounds of 73 at Champions Retreat Golf Club, she missed the cut, but was able to play the Friday Practice round at Augusta National Golf Club. Her golf game has taken a back seat since graduating from college, but it is obvious she still has plenty of game.
After graduating from Georgia in 2024, she was hired as the Women’s Golf Assistant Coach at Eastern Michigan University last July. In her fifth and final season at Georgia, she earned 2024 Honorable Mention All-America honors with seven top-10 finishes, including runner-up in both the Collegiate Invitational at Guadalajara Country Club in Mexico and the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic last year. Before beginning her collegiate career, she represented Italy in the 2018 Women’s World Amateur Team Championship in Ireland.
