Fall Arrives Too Soon, but Enjoy it

The fall season is one of my favorite times of the year in Michigan, but it’s also diabolical because it also means the golf season in winding down and will soon end.  So, this month we dedicate more pages than we have to any subject this year by providing a Fall Golf Tour (page 18) that gives ideas about places to play that range from the high-end resorts to the local muni. Soon there will be so much color to enjoy in Michigan, why not do so while playing golf?

Fall also means the start of another college golf season, so we’ve previewed the Big Ten and MAC schools in the state. And we’ll bring readers a Grand Valley State feature in October.

The PGA Tour Champions are coming soon to Warwick Hills and we got a preview from Rocco Mediate, winner of the 2000 Buick Open. Other stories include heading back to school and taking part in TGA youth golf training, or there’s still time to sign up for a couple golf league state-wide championships.

Thanks for reading Michigan Golf Journal, the state’s only monthly golf news magazine. Please pass it along to your friends.
