GAM Golf Days Series Championship presented by Michigan Golf Journal 

   Indianwood Golf & Country Club in Lake Orion hosted the GAM Golf Days Series Championship, Oct. 8. 

  Winners, both net and gross, were determined among men, women and senior men. Those eligible by having won a previous Golf Day event earlier in the season battled to be first again and receive a free Golf Day of their choice in 2019. Gift certificates were also awarded to the top six golfers in each category. Winners were:  

   Men’s GrossDoug Schoeller of Auburn Hills, 72. Kevin Sample of Farmington Hills scored 73. 

   Men’s Net: Josh Ray of Brighton, net 69. Five golfers tied for second with net 72s. 

   Women’s Gross: Nicole Ulrich of Waterford, 91. Geri Tigner of Romulus was second96. 

   Women’s NetEllen Vergin of Milfordnet 79. Lynne Thompson of Farmington Hills shot 80. 

   Senior Men’s GrossDan Vaughan of Jenison77 (won for the second consecutive year). Mike Kiss of Holland’s 79 was 2nd for the second consecutive year. 

   Senior Men’s Net: Jeff Wolfe of Livonianet 66. Thomas Gralinski of Sterling Heights69. 

   A field of 84 golfers competed at the close of the tenth season of GAM Golf Days, a service for GAM members that offers playing opportunities at top golf courses across the state, including private clubs, at sizeable cost-saving rates. GAM Golf Days offer a casual yet competitive day of golf to all GAM members, men and women, and provide opportunities no matter how well they play the game. 

   The tournament was presented by Michigan Golf Journal.
