The Michigan Women’s Golf Association is running a “Girls Golf – LPGA-USGA” beginners golf program at Rouge Park Golf Course in Detroit, each Tuesday from 12 noon to 2:15 p.m. now through August 20. Clubs will be provided, and no experience is needed.
Program includes instructions in the basic skills of golf in a group format, covering putting, chipping, the full swing, rules, etiquette and on-course play. Debbie Williams-Hoak is the LPGA instructor and 2018 high school golf coach of the year.
