LPGA Tour veteran Lizette Salas teamed with one of the hottest young stars on the women’s golf tour, Jennifer Kupcho to win the 2022 Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational last month.
Salas has been a stalwart women’s professional golf since she joined the LPGA in 2011. This was Salas’ second tour victory. She has earned over $7 million in her career, plus has been a member of five Solheim Cup Teams. Most recently Salas and Kupcho teamed up to record a 2-0-1 record in the 2021 Solheim Cup held in Toledo last year.
Kupcho is one of the brightest stars of the LPGA with three wins this season. Earlier this year she won the Chevron Championship, for her first major championship. Most recently she captured the Meijer Classic in Grand Rapids. Her second win in Michigan this year brings her season total to $1.8 million and is currently No. 2 in the Race to the CME, behind only Min Jee Lee.
