The 5th annual Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give remains one of the premier events on the LPGA Tour – not only for the great golf inside the ropes, but the charitable support by fans outside the ropes in raising $1 million last year alone.
The total money raised by the tournament for Simply Give – a directive of Meijer that lends additional support to food pantries across the Midwest – is over $3.1 million in the tournament’s first four years. 
West Michigan golf fans are some of the most loyal in Michigan and they support the local causes with gusto. That said, fans come from all across the state to see the best names in women’s golf, which are drawn to the tournament’s $2 million purse, one of the largest on the Tour outside the majors.
Tournament officials say much of the fund-raising success is attributed to the continued commitment from its volunteers. Volunteer registration is currently open to support the 2018 Meijer LPGA Classic for Simply Give, which will be held June 12-17, at Blythefield Country Club.
The volunteer registration is $55, a nominal cost considering that each volunteer earns two official tournament golf shirts, one official tournament hat or visor, four weekly grounds passes for friends or family, a volunteer appreciation party invitation, and meals and beverages during scheduled shifts. The volunteer badge is valid as a grounds pass, as well as provides access to the Grand Taste (a $35 value alone) and parking for tournament week.
Grand Taste at the Meijer LPGA Classic:
The Grand Taste is known as the best fan food experience on any tour. The upgraded ticket includes food and beverage samples from participating local restaurants, breweries and Meijer vendors. 
New this year, organizers expanded the Grand Taste to include the addition of The Grand Taste Garden as a second venue. It will feature food, games and chef demonstrations, along with live music into the evening, following play on June 16 and June 17. This ticket ($35) will grant access to both Grand Taste locations and includes general admission access to the golf tournament.
