The Michigan Women’s PGA is celebrating its 31st anniversary and this is the 22nd time it has been held on the Mountain Ridge course at Crystal Mountain. The 54-hole tournament was contested June 24-26. Final results will be reported in the August issue of Michigan Golf Journal.
The 54-hole, stroke play event is open to past, present and aspiring professional female golfers. The field competed for a piece of the $40,000 total purse and was cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.
Something new this year, the Michigan PGA added a Senior Division, open to women ages 50 and over and was played congruenly with the rest of the Open, June 24-26.
