Patrick Sullivan, a recent graduate of Grosse Pointe South, was named Mr. Golf by Michigan high school coaches in early July. Sullivan won the Division 1 state title in a playoff this spring over Jimmy Dales of Northville High. Grosse Pointe South also captured the 2018 team championship after finishing runner up the prior two years.
Sullivan was two-time All-State and committed to play at University of Michigan. He recently won the Michigan Junior State Amateur with a come-from-behind eagle, dramatic par save and one extra hole to outlast Spring Lake’s Nick Krueger in 19 holes. In 2016 at age 15, Sullivan competed at Augusta National in the Drive, Chip and Putt National Championship.
