Kalamazoo College golfers Jackson Jones and Parker Pickell were selected to the Golf Coaches Assoc. of America All-Great Lakes team – the only two from the state of Michigan. Both are grads of Birmingham Seaholm High.
Jones earned a school-record average score of 73.5 for the fall season, and was named MIAA Golfer of the week, twice. Pickell barely trails in second with a season scoring avg. of 73.8. He won the tournament at Ohio Wesleyan with a final round 66.
At Michigan, Brent Ito was voted second team All-Big Ten, starting all seven events in the 2019-20 season before college golf was halted. He led the Wolverines with a career-low 72.67 scoring average – nearly one and a half strokes better than his prior best (74.10 in 2018-19).
MSU’s James Piot also was voted All-Big Ten Second Team, after winning two fall events (Island Resort Intercollegiate and Inverness Intercollegiate) and finishing in the top 10 four times. The junior from Canton led the team this season with a 72.18 stroke average.
