PGA tops GAM in Fuller Cup Matches

The PGA Team won seven of the 12 singles matches to end a five-year losing streak and win the 51st Fuller Cup Matches, 10-8, at Birmingham Country Club.

The morning four-ball matches ended in a 3-3 tie. GAM won the first two matches of the afternoon, but the PGA won five consecutive matches for the win.

Even though GAM has won the last five Fuller Cups, the PGA dominated the matches in the first three decades and lead the series 36-13-2.

The Fuller Cup matches promote sportsmanship, friendship and quality golf among professionals and amateurs. The matches are named for the late Ernest Fuller, a Michigan golf course developer.
