The Oconee Course was designed by Rees Jones and features gently rolling Georgia topography and tall pines that frame every hole.
The Great Waters Course was designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened for play in 1992 but was completely renovated and reopened in October last year.
“I think the Great Waters Course, visually, is spectacular, “Nicklaus said. “I think strategically, it’s spectacular. I think the trees, the views, the beauty, is spectacular. Spectacular is a pretty good word for the golf course,” he added with a smile.
Great Waters is a dramatic layout that offers some of the most breathtaking vistas in the Southeast. It has been consistently ranked among the Top 100 courses in the nation, and LINKS Magazine named it one of the, “10 most significant and influential courses of the past two decades.”
Bob Cup created the first course built on property, The Landings, in 1986, as well as the 6,700-yard par 72, Preserve.
The Creek Club is the only private course at Reynolds Lake Oconee and was designed by Jim Engh.
