Summertime in Michigan should mean road trips to any of the “four corners” of the Great Lakes State.
I was fortunate to make stops at Drummond Island, Greywalls, Belvedere and Arcadia, the latter which is the cover story this month – highlighting the opening of Arcadia’s brand new South Course. What a treat to see another new golf course come online in Michigan just weeks after Sage Run opened in the Upper Peninsula in July. While many argue that Michigan has more courses than we need, it’s a positive sign to see new opportunities arise after a decade of decline and closures.
Also check out stories in this edition about how Railside Country Club is catering to families in a unique way, the growth of youth golf camps at Maple Hill, the PGA Tour Champions return to Warwick Hills, the Sr. LPGA Championship coming in October, short game tips, a rules quiz and more.
