Golf lovers in Michigan sometimes hate to see the month of July because for many of us that means the golf season is almost half gone. But do not despair; how you spend the rest of the season can be very rewarding and full of great memories.
Perhaps the biggest golf news to hit Michigan this year is the fact the PGA Tour announced it is returning to our state in 2019. What a wonderful boost to the game of golf and for showing off our state to the world along with the compliment of 3 LPGA Tour events and the upcoming PGA Tour Champions tournament coming to Grand Blanc in September.
Of course, July is a time to celebrate our country’s independence and to thank military personnel for their service. You can do that also by signing up for a number of golf outing fundraisers, like the one we advertise on page 19, the Golf 4 Heroes Scramble at Prestwick Village.
