USGA Research Grants for MSU 

Michigan State University received $16,600 in two grants from the USGA as part of the national golf organization’s $1.9 million in golf course sustainability research.  

 

ThUSGA Turfgrass and EnvironmentaResearch Program (TERP), which is onof several continuous efforts led by the Green Section aimeat enhancingolf course sustainability, develops ansupports research that produces healthieenvironment and improved playing conditions. 

 

USGA research has contributed tthe reductioof an estimate86,00tons of annuafertilizeuse ogolf courses since 2007 anhas defineapplication strategies that limit thtransport onutrients to surface water angroundwater.
