Jack Vardaman Workforce Development Program As part of its mission, The National Links Trust is dedicated to positively impacting the local community. The Jack Vardaman Workforce Development Program does exactly that. It provides financial support for young people interested in taking an early career step in the business of golf. The goal is to give disadvantaged youth the chance to develop relevant skills and acquire tools they will need for future business success, thereby enabling them to pursue productive and prosperous careers for a lifetime. Young people at the East Potomac Golf Links, Langston Golf Course, and Rock Creek Park Golf Coursehave theopportunity towork inaccounting, sales, marketing, information systems and a broad range of technical disciplines associated with golf course operations and management. They also have the opportunity to meet leaders in the golf profession and network with some of the region’s most dynamic business leaders.
