John Kretzschmar recently received the Donald D. Johnson Lifetime Achievement Award for the Evans Scholarship Foundation. He was recognized for his dedication to the Western Golf Association (WGA) and the Evans Scholars Foundation.
Kretzschmar became a WGA Director in 1982 and was the first person to serve as chairman (2000 & 2001) of the WGA to reside outside of Chicago. He served as Chairman of the Evans Scholarship Foundations Trustees in 2002 and 2003. From 1985 to 1999, he was tournament chairman of the Western Junior Amateur Championship. John is a fixture in the Toledo Golf community and member of Inverness Club.
